QUEST
Quantitative Underwater Ecological Survey Techniques
The Quest Course is a two week course in learning different underwater surveying techniques, doing the diving to collect the data and then coming back to campus to write out a report and give a talk on your teams results

QUEST Identification courses
on Fish, Seaweed, Coral, and invertebrates
I.D.
Courses are held through-out the first semester of the school year to prepare students for the QUEST ID exam, which include some 200 species of fish, seaweed, invertebrates, and coral.

Student Symposiums
Student symposiums are given through out the year for the following courses: Senior Thesis, QUEST, Marine Statistics, Marine Ecology, MOP Student Symposium and for other research or internship projects done.

Student Awards at UHH-MOP
Some Awards Given to UHH MOP Students this year include, Top Marine Research project, The John P. Craven Award, and Best Intership Presentation awarded at the Windward Community college MOP Symposium. The DLNR/ Sea Grant Summer fellowship to under graduates was also obtained by a UH Hilo student.
